today is veteran's day. which means i don't have school. ryan does have school. which means i am home alone all day to do whatever i please. i have a whole pile of crafty stuff i can work on, a stack of books i can read, some coupons i can go utilize at various stores, bunches of flannel board pictures i can create, but i thought i would start off my day off with a long awaited blog.
life is busy working full time with a husband who goes to school full time. he finished his first section (gross anatomy - gross like total body, not gross like...yucky) and is starting into something a lot more complicated. i think i was tricked into thinking there wasn't going to be as much studying in med school as everyone said when he didn't have to study for long long hours for anatomy. now he does. long hours every night. don't worry though, i have plenty to keep me busy.
since school started, i'm pretty much been a reading machine. here are all the books i've read since about september 1st.
to kill a mockingbird
ella enchanted
book of a thousand days
the host
my sister's keeper
uglies
pretties
specials
extras
the help
molly moon's incredible book of hypnotism
once upon a summer
the winds of autumn
winter is not forever
spring's gentle promise
schuyler's monster
the prestige
the princess diaries
the princess diaries
hunger games
i think that's all of them. i've tried to keep a list, but i may have missed some. this doesn't include the long list of kids books i've read to decide which books i might want to use with my kids at school, but picture books don't really count do they?

You always were such a good reader. Me? Not so much. Especially since my major required an INSANE amount of reading...I haven't done much since. Yesterday I realized I really should crack open a book when I used the word "unresponsible," or some similar word. I didn't realize my smarts had dimmed so much.
That is a lot of books. It is nice to be done with school and have time to read what you want to read- don't you think? I have read some of your list, but will have to get busy reading the others.
Wow, that's alot of books. I want to read the uglies series. Did you like them?
Man, I can't believe you had time to read that many books. You know what's funny? I read The Help too in October and Schuyler's (?) Monster in the summer. what a coincidence.
