3rd year rotations have begun.
ryan started his first rotation this week. he's working at a state psychiatric hospital. notice the lack of tie? not allowed. he's also not allowed to wear any shade of brown pants, keep anything in his pockets, or take his lunch in a plastic bag. pretty crazy huh? but on the flip side, he only works tuesday through friday from about 9 to 4. someday we'll know what medical school rotations are really like, with call and long hours. this month - easy :)

Brown pants?? I can understand all the other rules, but the reasoning behind that one eludes me.

I kept waiting for it to get worse. It was never as bad as I thought it might be. My Ryan didn't have to take any call ever... hope it's the same for yours.
And, lets be honest, you might as well get psych out of the way first.
Do the inpatient's at the facitily wear brown?
Or does the color brown just remind everyone of bad man smell, and really bad man smell?
