halloween commenced this week for us on tuesday. the boys and i got the pumpkins prepped when ryan was on his way home from work so that they could get right to work.
we just got one pumpkin this year, so isaac picked the face for one side of it
and cody picked the face for the other side.
it was our ward's trunk or treat that night, so we got the kids all dressed and headed down to the church. several people commented on the small bags my boys have. small bag means it feels full faster and it hold less candy - everyone's happy.
i should have gotten a picture of ryan. he put the baby carrier backpack on and carried around two coconuts to make horse sounds - a porter from monty python.
story time was the halloween party. i'm so glad i caught a little picture of ms. devon with isaac. she's so great with the kids. playing a bit of pin the eye on the jack-o-lantern.
they did thumb print pumpkin patches that were so cute.
we hit up our last halloween outing on friday (i know halloween was actually on saturday. what little kids don't know won't hurt them... ) we had our preschool halloween party down at the ford's, so we got all dolled up again. i took some pictures of bonnie to get a good comparison with cody on his first halloween (isaac had a totally different look). they look so similar, especially in the same clothes. a surprising number of people guessed the wrong kid when they looked at this picture.
then i added a bow to make her costume just a bit more girly.
dr. bonnie
isaac, the patient
and cody, the x-ray, or spooky skeleton
(depends on when you asked him)
cami did such a good job with the party. it was so fun
we managed to get almost everyone out for a picture. what a bunch!
and lest you think i'm a total halloween grinch, we did have some halloweeny treats today.
spiders for snack
yes, i know spiders have eight legs, but you try to fit eight pretzels into the side of a banana without it turning to mush ;)
and jack-o-lantern pizza
we did have a few trick-or-treaters even. we let the boys pick five pieces of candy each and gave the rest of the stash away to kids that came by. happy halloween to all :)
