thank you for blessing my life

i'm not usually too sappy on my blog, but bear with me a bit.  last week was a bit of a tough week for us.  it caused me to do a lot of reflection on the great friends and family we have.  it's so great to move to a completely unfamiliar place and start a new life with new opportunities and come across the best friends and neighbors you could ask for.  we had many phone calls, texts, and e-mails that showed more love and support than we could ever expect.  we feel very blessed.

i also reflected on how lucky i am to have this guy in my life.

don't get me wrong, i know how lucky i am every day, but it doesn't often hit me like it has this past week.  as cliche as it sounds, i can't imagine life without him and don't know how i would get through the things we've been through together without him by my side.

i got a michael buble cd a few weeks ago.  there's a song called 'hold on' that was probably my least favorite on the album, but it kept playing through my head last week.  it has become one of those songs that tells my life.  you don't have to read it, but i just want to write it down so i can look back someday and remember....

didn't they always say we were the lucky ones?
i guess that we were once
babe, we were once

but luck with leave you cause, it is a faithless friend
and in the end when life has got you down
you've got someone here that you can wrap your arms around

so hold on to me tight
hold on to me tonight
we are stronger here together than we could ever be apart
so hold on to me
don't you ever let me go

there's a thousand ways for things to fall apart
but it's no one's fault
no it's not my fault

maybe all the plans we made might not work out
but i have no doubt even though it's hard to see
i've got faith in us and i believe in you and me

so hold on to me tight
hold on, i promise it'll be alright
cause it's you and me together and baby all we've got is time
so hold on to me, hold on to me tonight

there's so many dreams that we have given up
take a look at what we've got
and with this kind of love
what we've got here is enough

so hold on to me tight
hold on, i promise it'll be alright
cause we are stronger here together than we could ever be alone
just hold on to me, don't you ever let me go
hold on to me, it's gonna be alright
hold on to me tonight

they always say we were the lucky ones

WHAT?! You got a picture of him smiling?! Oh, I know... this was the 'after you put the camera away and I don't have to pose anymore' surprise shot, right?
