spring is busting out all over

i know its actually been spring for a while, but i was noticing how nice and springy its been looking around here...

we get some beautiful blossoms on the trees (even if you can't really see them too well).  driving down some streets with the windows down is one of my new favorite things to do with all the blossoms blooming and smelling fantastic.

then there are our tomatoes.  that's right, we have actually tomatoes now on our tomato plants!  i can't wait for the first one to be red and ripe!

i've had two african violets for two years or something and they have never bloomed.  then last saturday i saw the tiniest hint of a bloomm coming out.  today it was a flower!  i can't wait for both of them to be covered in the purple flowers...maybe the other one is pink or something though.

i got some flowers from ryan's parents for mother's day.  a lot of the flowers are getting a little wilty, but not the daisies.  aren't daisies the friendliest flowers?  i just love them.

i apologize for flaunting our beautiful weather and green, growing outdoors to people like beth who got this earlier this week, but at least you can enjoy it from afar right?

no, its all right. I know our weather is HORRIBLE. But we've had some nice days. One of our trees is getting blossoms, and we started our spriklers today, so that is a good start. We can plant in a few more weeks!

You lucky duck. Our yard is too HOT to grow anything (except squash and cactus). Grow and eat a tomato for me ;). You go with your green thumb. I'm trying my hand at herbs (orgeano, parsley, basil- though now I can't remember which is which) in a portable planter on the porch (so they don't roast in the sun all day). We miss the blossoms and the sweet smells they bring (though saguaros are blooming now- it's just not the same). Enjoy.
