i have some projects i've been working on (or planning to work on). moving has definitely taken over a lot of my time, but we're pretty much unpacked so i can focus on fun stuff now.
first off...i got a bundle of fat quarters with a gift certificate from the fair, so i've been saving them for a quilt-a-long i found online. i'm hoping to start cutting fabric in the next day or two.
next...this project came up unexpectedly. mom and dad were here visiting this weekend, so mom, ryan, and i did a little yard sale-ing. we found lots of treasures, but my favorite is this little beauty.
as you may or may not be able to tell from the picture, it needs a lot of work. luckily, mom has found lots of projects in the past to rebuild. she had the basic know-how to get us on our way. instead of visiting a local botanical garden after having lunch with ryan (on his first day of his second year of med school), we went home and got to work. we got lots of paint/varnish stripping done yesterday and today i finished that part up and cleaned out all the spider webs....along with all the spiders i hope.
its still a long way from being finished and i'm sure there will be many days that i wish i had my grandpa here to help me along.
stay tuned for the finished projects...but don't hold your breath, it may be a while :)

Nice Katie. That is going to look good.
I haven't been to a single garage sale this year. We seem to have stuff going on nearly every week.
