amidst some pre-packing packing (mostly just labeling some boxes that were already packed in the closet), cody and i found our stash of easter eggs. we met up with cora-lynne and kelby a few days before easter to give the kids a taste of their first official easter egg hunt.
kelby hid the eggs while i got the kids ready to go. they picked up on what they were supposed to do right away and had a great time searching all over for eggs.
isaac mostly just hung out in his sling, falling asleep eventually, but looking as cute as ever.
kelby and i even managed some quick pictures with our kids before we parted ways.
ryan and cody did a couple more egg hunts over the next couple of days. we didn't really have 'the easter bunny' visit, but cody and isaac did get some fun toys from grandma and grandpa bishop and from mom and dad.
we didn't get it in earlier in the week with ryan's schedule, so we dyed easter eggs before church. cody thought it was great fun watching the eggs come out a different color then they went in.
i don't want it to seem like isaac doesn't exist, but this is usually what he's doing when we're having fun doing stuff like dying eggs.
we may not have little girls to dress up in matching easter dresses, but i still managed to finish a couple of matching bow-ties and pants for cody and isaac. even though isaac usually has at least one blow-out every sunday at church, he made it through the whole day in the same outfit for once!
we all wore purple to match for church.
(its sure tough to get a good family picture with the timer!)
we decided to get out isaac's play mat on easter. any time i lay him on it, cody carefully lays down next to him and plays with the toys with him.
clearly isaac loves this arrangement. its always more fun to play with friends!
