a bit of our fun

we have discovered a new part of one of the local parks.  there is an awesome little train!  we have been meeting some friends - kimmie, olivia, and kate at the park at least once a week lately.  we spend a good chunk of time playing on the playground and then head over to the train.  they all love it.

for whatever reason, this has become a favorite hang-out spot for cody and isaac.  sometimes cody will even go get his pillow and stuff it under here.  a bit crowded if you ask me!

cody is getting good at building train tracks.  he always asks for help, but if it takes me a few minutes to get there, i usually walk in to see something like this that he's done all by himself.

the best way to pass what feels like a long long day?  build a fort.  hours of entertainment.

isaac has a bit of a pocket obsession now that he's figured out how to get his hands in them.  he sometimes will cry all the way through a parking lot because i insist on holding his hand instead of letting him keep it in his pocket. 

tara farnsworth and i were looking all over for estelle and isaac one day at frisbee and i found them at the top of the slide like this.  too cute. 

this little ice cream sandwich is my newest obsession!  ryan brings them home from work occasionally and i can't stay away from them.  blue bell knows the way to my heart :) 

we read a book called 'meeow and the little chairs' where the cat builds a train, so we built our own.  cody blew the whistle and rang the bell from the front while isaac called 'all aboard' from the back. 

cody is pretty awesome at letters, but doesn't really love organized practice.  we just sneak it in here and there and he loves spelling his name. 

another fun frisbee park night.  nearly the last for the year since the time changes and it gets too dark!  isaac could swing the whole time we're there.

cody set up a little classroom one day and was telling isaac stories. 

wednesday mornings the boys usually watch an episode of mickey mouse clubhouse between the gym and story time while i quickly shower and get ready.  lately isaac has been slipping his arm around cody when they sit together for stuff like that. 

isaac comes up with the best dress-up combinations.  police hat, superman cape, buzz lightyear pants and one glove, plus a medal around the wrist for good measure.  he cracks me up.
