beth and her girls came down to arizona for a week or so. on their way down to thatcher, they stopped in show low to visit us. there was a storm on the way down that slowed them down a bit, but they made it for dinner on friday night.
we had all day saturday to kill, so we started off with a hike. we didn't realize how many hikes there are around here. we drove less than a mile across the highway to the ghost of the coyote train head and started off. everyone's excited right?
we planned on taking a short loop instead of the 9 or so mile hike, but somehow we missed the turn we were supposed to take to loop around and took a much longer hike than we'd planned. we were plenty hungry and thirst and tired by the time we got back, but we sure had fun! we saw lots of little tiny horned toads on the road and had to hike through a few muddy chunks to keep things a little interesting. isaac and molly had to have piggy backs for a bit, but everyone was a trooper!
after lunch and some resting time (every single kid fell asleep - even ashley in the middle of the living room floor) we turned on the sprinklers and played outside for a while. they all had fun playing together.
they had originally planned on leaving for thatcher saturday night, but decided to wait until after church on sunday which meant we got to take a nice sunday morning stroll and have friends to sit by in sacrament meeting.
it was so fun to have you come!!
