what's been going on around here

well, we're getting settled into arizona life around a school schedule.  here's a bit of the odds and ends of what we've been up to.

bonnie is still a few months from nursery, so she trades of going to relief society and elders' quorum.  i wiped her hands off a couple of weeks ago and then she took the wipe and started cleaning the piano.  whatever keeps you busy i guess, sweet girl.

we have our own hummingbird feeder, but there was also one left in the yard by the previous owners.  we filled it and put it out by our other one.  it seemed to attract more bees than anything, but one morning we could a little praying mantis hanging out on it.  he definitely keeps the bee problem down, but he didn't stay too long.  we ended up throwing this feeder away and the bee problem went away completely.  it did make me consider the idea of having our own hive though...

the kids definitely love the little vacuum and are more than willing to help clean up under the table on most days.

look at these two cute farmers!  we go to our friend stacy's house a couple mornings a week to work out.  isaac is great at helping carry my weights :)  they love playing in the yard while i get a little exercise in.

we finally got to the project that ryan got for isaac to do once cody started school.  it was fun to put together with him.  incidently, cody broke it the next day and had to use some of his own money to buy isaac another one.  isaac was at least kind enough to let cody have this one so they could play dinosaurs together.

i got a call this week (the second week of school) that cody had run into a rope near the playground and got a pretty bad rope burn on his neck during lunch recess.  i went to get him and he was definitely ready for a nap.  adjusting to school has been a bit rocky in the after school hours.  cody is just so exhausted after a long day of school.  poor kid!  this picture doesn't even nearly do it justice.  it looks awful!

silly bonnie girl!

we went down to the valley this weekend to do some serious food storage shopping.  we went to the lds cannery, winco, and found a corelle store to get some much needed new dishes.  we've been using the set that i grew up with as a little girl.  there are about five bowls, two little plates, and maybe ten big plates left.  we found a pattern we love and got it.  as we were leaving, we found a great ride (just like the one in thatcher we love).  nothing beats three rides for a quarter!  the kids had a great time riding and bonnie screamed and screamed when we finished!

how's that for a comfy looking nap?

we've been meaning to take a picture of us with the house to send to our mortgage company (they said they'd send us a gift certificate for a local restaurant), so we took a few tonight.

we are loving our new home!
