november tidbits

bonnie and i sometimes spend the three hours while isaac's at preschool running errands in town.  its always nice to stop for a carwash - and fun to watch it go through the machines!

i still love seeing rainbows - and double rainbows even more - after not seeing any during our time in texas.

the hair is getting longer!  still not much in the front, but lots in the back.  luckily she sits pretty well and still on the bathroom counter while i try things out, although she's starting to get too tall for me to reach sitting up there.

we have lots of boxes this week after the pampered chef party and a couple amazon orders.  i gave them to the boys who created all kinds of fun things with them.  here's cody's time machine.  they stretched out other boxes and drew all kinds of pictures all over them.  they even created a game called monsters and messes where you had to run across just stepping on the messes so the monsters wouldn't get you.  they're pretty funny.

we are now in a new ward (linden ward) with church at 9.  it is a bit of an adjustment and the afternoon sure seemed long, but i think we'll like it in the long run.

we are definitely a house of book lovers.  i spent a morning a couple of weeks ago trying to finish up the book club book - the golden unicorn.  instead to going to play somewhere, bonnie and isaac just looked at books too

bonnie climbed up to lay on me a couple of times to read her book while i read mine.

these two are becoming best buddies in the hours cody is away at school.  they follow each other all over the house playing (bonnie calling "iiiii-saac" after him).  she forced herself onto his lap while he was reading the very hungry caterpillar to her.

we had colt and conner over last week while trinity went for some dental work.  we all went to pick up the kids from the bus stop and the little boys ran the whole way!  everlasting energy!

isaac is my best laundry helper.  on mondays and tuesdays when we do all the laundry, he helps bring piles in to throw in the washer, gets clothes out of the dryer, and helps me fold.  i give him all the washcloths when we wash the towels and this day he laid them out all over the floor.  then he had me tell him what color to fold next.  he comes up with the funniest games, but whatever works to get the job done right?

cody saw a picture of a drone on the back of a magazine in the trash.  he pulled it out and stuck in on the fridge so he could look how to spell 'cloud rider' to put on his christmas list.  he was even nice enough to write 'puzzle' for isaac too.

isn't lying on the kitchen floor the best place for facetiming grandma?

the other morning at breakfast, isaac and i watched two huge javalinas walk through our yard.  you can just see one behind the bench.

i think this little girl could happily subsist solely on cuties.  she asks for 'o' or 'ohnge' at least 10 times a day.  we just need to teach her how to peel them herself like cody used to at that age.

who doesn't love playing in a laundry basket from time to time?

we had some guys come over this morning to service our furnace.  i was upstairs playing dress-up with isaac and bonnie

suddenly there was a hole in our ceiling and a leg hanging down.  bit of a mess, but our furnace works now and they are sending someone to fix it - hopefully soon as its really cold with a hole in our ceiling!

isaac had all kinds of fun this afternoon using his 'computer' (the doctor kit box) to make 'charts.'  he had a block that he used for a phone and took orders for all sorts of charts.  he even told me he made a potty chart for bonnie and hung it up in the bathroom.
