bonnie's happy birthday!

bonnie has been so excited for her happy birthday.  we kind of missed the whole 'one' (showing one finger and all), so we've been working on 'two' and she's just about got it down.  she had a bit of a hard time deciding between waffles and pancakes for her birthday breakfast.  she's definitely her mom's girl and loves all things breakfast!

she had quite the captive audience for presents, but didn't need much help - much to her brothers' disappointment.  once she got this opened up, she was so excited for her 'tea party!'

we have all loved 'where's walrus' since cody was about two, so we thought we better finally get around to adding it to our own library.  i can't believe how many times we've already read it!

knowing all the places we'll be traveling this summer, we thought we'd better get bonnie her own sleeping bag so she'd be prepared.  she insisted on using it for naptime with her new blanket from grandma berta.

cody was sure that since he got to stay home for isaac's birthday (which fell on a school holiday) that he was supposed to stay home for all birthdays.  he did still have to go to school, but isaac kept bonnie plenty busy with tea party after tea party all over the house with her new tea set.

we planned a special tea party snack for when cody got home from school - since its hard to play tea party all day without really having one!

all the kids got sacks for their sleeping bags at the last bishop reunion, so we tried it out with bonnie's new sleeping bag.  since mickey fits in the pocket - she approves.

the boys had swimming lessons in the evening (sometimes we get there a bit early)

so dad took bonnie on a special birthday date to dairy queen!

we made last year's favorite of grapefruit cupcakes again and bonnie still loved them!

when i took her for her 2-year-old check up, the doctor couldn't believe her vocabulary.  she was labeling things like 'cactus' as we walked down the hall.  hard to say if she's our best talker (since isaac busted out 'can you help me put on my shoes and socks please?' on the day after his second birthday), but she's pretty awesome and very clear.  she loves all things mickey mouse and likes to read books, play with babies, and do things with her brothers.

she's definitely not as big as her brothers were, but she's still pretty tall.
weight - 26 lbs (50th percentile)
height - 34.75 in (75-90th percentile)

happy birthday to our beautiful bonnie!
