well, we all survived our more than two-week long trip to utah and wyoming. we were pretty exhausted by the time we pulled in, but overall it went pretty smoothly.
marianne found a couple of cute mickey mouse shirts that she gave to bonnie. bonnie loves all things minnie and mickey!
our fantastic neighbors, the moore's, showed up right after we pulled into our house and brought us a gallon of milk and a loaf of break - which was perfect to get us to our restocking shopping trip. we found bananas with these cute stickers to make them into minions.
last day of summer cinnamon rolls. so yummy.
and just like that, summer's over and cody is off to first grade! we are excited for his teacher, mrs. slone, and know it will be a great year!
now that we're back into the swing of things - project time. two moves and three kids calls for a new coat of paint! i'm sure this baby will be here before we know it!
i'm somehow the president of the pto this year, so i headed up a back-to-school barbeque for linden families. we got some awesome donations from local businesses and had all the food covered with money to spare! isaac and bonnie were my best helpers getting everything set up and put away.
bonnie may have been a bit put out that she wasn't getting a hair cut like all the boys, but getting a job of her own solved that! she loves to be the best helper.
ryan and i worked out to take the kids on some special dates. i took isaac out. we heart attacked dad's office door, stopped at the library to check out a new game, and ended with our very own little ice cream cups at safeway.
we switched to a new preschool this year with miss nikki. he figured out how to read over the summer, so hopefully he'll be a big help this year and learn lots of other new things. sounded like the first day was a wild success!
along with his car keys, ryan's wedding ring (which he clips onto his key ring when he swims) was lost at the bottom of bear lake. we finally got around to getting it replaces - this time with a super light metal instead of tungsten.
bonnie feels a little left out now that cody's at school every day and isaac's gone two mornings a week. she got herself dressed (complete with shoes on the wrong feet), posed herself for the picture and said "i'm so cool" (in reference to the pencil behind her ear) and "i'm going to kindergarten"
we needed to stop by shelly's house after preschool one morning and she showed us her new chicks. so cute.
this little guy hung onto our window screen by the dining room for three or four days. the boys named him "mantis mark the spot"
