we dashed down to visit grandparents over labor day weekend. i didn't get many pictures...
sometimes you have to improvise with a dump truck for your tea party and it just keeps dumping the tea on the floor, so you walk sooooo carefully.
grandma berta has the best fun things - like the five little speckled frogs sitting on the speckled log.
ryan and i took a fun cooking class for a date night. the community college offers friday night out cooking classes once a month. this one was asian. the food was so yummy and the people were fun!
i took on a bit of a project with just a little time to spare before we have a new baby. i ordered bead board wallpaper and hung it in bonnie's room, painted chair rails (which ryan actually installed), and finally got the room ready to share with baby boy or girl in a few weeks. hard work at 38 weeks pregnant!
my friend, shelly, painted these cute ballerinas for me. someday we'll have a great ballerina room for bonnie and maybe a sister?
i made a bunch of little boo-hoo owls to go into the holiday boutique. perfect way to use up some fabric scraps and they're super cute.
we came out one morning to find a deer and her fawn in the yard. the momma was inside the fence with her baby waiting right outside. they've come back a few other times and nibbled around our outer yard.
i didn't take too many pictures of the spoils of our labors in the garden - they weren't great. we got a few cucumbers, some yellow squash, and handful of tomatoes, a couple of cups of peas, and our harvest of tiny little corn cobs. we have big plans for next year which include raised beds and better soil!
cody had some spirit days at school this week. we only caught a picture of crazy hair day. it takes a lot of work to get his hair to do anything but lay flat, but he's been dying to try a mohawk!
it was also picture day at school a few weeks ago. i got to go help out. i loved seeing all the kids dressed up for pictures and seeing kids from church.
cody has a great class so far and we just love mrs. slone!
i've been working on some quilts for the boys' bed upstairs, so i get to see a little more of what goes on up there. bonnie and isaac went fishing off the edge of the steps. so cute.
