39.5

well folks, its comin' down to the wire.  we're only a few days away from the due date.  i a little bit hoped that i wouldn't be able to get around to writing this post and thought maybe i'd have a post showing lots of pictures of a cute little baby boy.  no such luck.

well, here's a few updates on the pregnancy.  

i had a baby shower in march when i went to thatcher for spring break.  it was with all of my thatcher friends and ward members from back in the day.

then at the beginning of april, the speech therapists at work threw me a shower. it was actually a baby-baby-bridal shower.  my assistant, kati, is due about a week after me and one of the other speech therapists, kristine, is getting married at the end of june, so we just made it one big party.

(can ya tell which one is kristine?)

at the beginning of may, my friends out here did a shower for me too.  super nice of them considering we have something like 12 babies coming this year in our ward, 4 of them in july.  it was really fun to get together.  we love any excuse really.

while in thatcher, my mom and i got lots of sewing done.  i had finished up this quilt just before going.

so we made curtains to match.

so you may be thinking...'looks like they've finally got some things ready and set up in the baby's room'

think again.

yep, everything shoved out of the way (with the glider taken to another room) so ryan has somewhere to study for the big test.  luckily everything is pretty quick and easy to move around, so we can swap it back in a flash.  

ok, now the big reveal.  here's the 39ish week shot.  i guess they call it 'all belly.'  i will brag a bit and say that one of the aides at school said she didn't recognize me from the back the other day cuz i didn't look pregnant until i turned to the side.  

by way of getting ready, i went and got a pedicure a couple of weeks ago with a friend from work last year.  i'm starting to wonder if it will hold out until the baby actually comes.  

(gotta love my swollen right foot....never the left)

so, we're getting close.  hopefully really, really close.

and just to finish off, here's the diaper-cycle a friend of ours made for me...just because its that cool.
