cody's room updates

i've been working on some new stuff for cody's room.  it was seeming a little blah....

i started with an airplane mobile.  i made it from the same paper as the mickey pictures on the wall, which are from a mickey calendar i took apart.
(idea from here)

cody loves to watch the airplanes move in the breeze from the fan.  before his naps i spin it a little so they fly in a circle and he just stares and smiles.

then i got the idea of doing his name and a magnet board from a friend who was making similar stuff for her boy's room

i found a font i liked and printed out the letters, cut them out of cardboard, instead of buying letters for $2-$4 a piece, and then mod-podged (my new addiction) the paper onto the cardboard.

the magnet board i also mod-podged with paper i chose and then hot glued buttons onto some magnets so we can hang pictures.

and added a box i re-covered (mod-podged) with cute mickey paper

so now his room looks a bit more colorful and fun

i remember having a picture of the idaho falls temple growing up.  it was like it was 'my temple' since i was born there.  ryan and i thought we would continue that tradition with our kids and get them a picture of the temple for where they were born (which could end up being a lot of different places with residency and future jobs)

so now cody has a picture of the redlands temple and a printable of president hinckley's 9 b's (found here)

so for now, i think i'm done with room updates....

at least until i find another cute idea to add!

Everything you made looks fantastic! You are so creative. I wish I lived closer to you so you could help me out with my boring nursery for Nora! :)

Cute Kit. The letters turned out better then the two sets you showed me the other week that you had bought.
