hard to believe seven months have gone by since cody entered our family! he has grown and learned so much, even just in the last month.
just before christmas, we started to see this.
cody would stand up on anything waist high (his waist) or lower....even books on the floor, or the floor itself.
just a few days later, we saw this. first he used the box to help himself get started and then pulled up on the bed. he liked to look down as if he was seeing how far away the floor looked.
it took cody a while to figure out that he could stand up in his crib. one day i heard him just crying and crying. when i opened the door this is what i saw...
he hadn't figured out how to get back down, so he just stood there crying and hanging on for dear life.
now he'll pull up on just about anything. he loves his diaper boxes with the pictures of the baby and stands by it all the time. he isn't quite cruising (yet!) but is starting to climb stairs. we just try to make sure we're close by when he tries out that adventure since its a hard fall on the tile if something goes bad.
cody is getting good at holding his own bottle when we give him one and loves laying with his head on a pillow any chance he gets.
he's gotten big and strong enough now to sit up in the carts at the grocery store. it cracks me up when we go around a corner and he's not paying attention cuz he gets all off balance and has to grab on tight.
he loves bath time in the big bath tub, especially now that he has some fun toys to chew on
and of course still loves the little boy in the mirror. he even tries to give the boy kisses.
he's learning how to eat all kinds of new things. today we tried carrots and for whatever reason, it was a messy endeavor. he got carrots and cereal clear on the back of his head.
he's also started eating some finger foods which he loves, even if it is practically impossible to get them to his mouth sometimes.
next stop, figuring out how to ride his new bike!
