i guess it was clear back in august, but ryan and i had a groupon we wanted to use before his rotations got too busy (and before my belly got too big) and took a night to go ice skating.
the open skating didn't start until 8 i think, so it was a bit of a later night than usual by the time we got there and got going (i know, we're such old married people with early bedtime). i definitely didn't last long, but it was fun to go for a while...even if we were about the only people over high school age :)
this weekend we took up some friends on a babysitting offer and went over to hollywood area to the griffith observatory. we thought we'd catch a planetarium show since they don't allow kids in them. i always love seeing the stars (we don't see many out here in such a metro area) and it takes me back to my astronomy days back at eac.
we made it just in time for a show and then spent some time exploring the rest of the observatory. they had this fun periodic table with little samples of each element (that they were able to have)
i made sure to capture copper for annie as it provides her with her job
we even got a rare picture of the two of us together on the observatory rooftop. it has a pretty awesome view on a clear day.
i'm so grateful for random, sometimes more rare than we'd like, date nights to spend time with my best friend.
