cody catch-up

every once in a while i look through my pictures and see these odds and ends of cody that don't get in other posts where they don't really fit, but i don't want to forget the fun things he does.  here a few from the last month.

one of my favorite sights.  looking down from upstairs and seeing cody sprawled on the couch with a book.  it actually happens quite often.  i love how much he loves books.

he finally figured out how to really get moving on his little bike so i let him take it to get the mail one day.  he only made it as far as the neighbor's gate before he decided he'd rather walk, but it was fun while it lasted.

we have a pair of wooden ducks we got as a wedding present that sit up on a shelf in our living room.  cody loves to ask ryan for a 'duck' and then sits in his lap and plays with it.  he also loves looking at our family pictures on the wall with ryan.

one afternoon, cody came over and showed me this creation he'd made that he was so proud of.  i asked if he wanted to take a picture to send to daddy.  when i said 'smile,' this is what i got.  he kind of smiles and blinks his eyes really fast - making most pictures squinty eyed.

cody loves hats of all kinds.  he found this one in the bottom drawer of our dresser and likes to wear it around his neck like this.  then he goes to the bathroom cupboard and pulls out the first aid kit (i call it his briefcase) and walks around and around the upstairs.

one day, cody decided to play hide and seek under his crib.  perfect...except for the two little hands i could see peeking out.

if we leave the piano bench out at all, cody climbs right up and can open the piano by himself now.  he loves to sit down and 'play.'

i had to go for my glucose testing a couple of weeks ago, so cody and ryan had breakfast without me.  i ate when i got home and cody climbed up on a chair to have 'second breakfast' with me.  he may just about be ready to move to the table with a booster!

i can't believe how grown up he is looking!
