we got this kinetic sand table for christmas. i have an extreme love/hate relationship with this toy. it entertains them so well for so long and they love playing with it, but they cannot figure out a way to not get it ALL OVER! i guess our sand supply will just slowly diminish and we'll have as much fun as we can in the meantime!
cody and isaac built this ramp all by themselves for their trucks. i am still amazed often at their creativity.

cody has decided he can help dry the dishes. i washed and he dried all these dishes. such a good helped - especially considering how much i hate drying! i'd rather just let the air do the work and put them away later.
our friends have been out of town for way too long, so we ventured to the park on our own. there is a park near us with a good nature trail, so we checked it out. the boys loved 'hiking.' it was especially exciting when we couldn't take one path because it was too wet. cody love being the navigator and telling us we couldn't go that way.
sticks are an essential part of hiking. isaac kept saying something about being a woodpecker with his stick. funny boys!
we haven't been taking advantage of the woodlands children's museum as often as we used to, but we met up with some friends one morning and happened upon the chinese new year. its always a fun break and we love the bagel shop a few doors down for lunch on the way home.
someone at the gym called cps on me and a caseworker stopped by. puts a bit of a damper on your day, but a great friend brought these by with a pint of ice cream. great ways to brighten a rough day.
cody had a bit of a run-in with the wall, directly on the outlet today. running to naptime is not a good move. it looks a bit like he had to get stitches with the way its scabbing, but it was hardly a scratch.

CPS??!! I can't even imagine would you could possibly do that would make such a reaction even conceivable. I'm really not blowing smoke here - I am often struck with how good of a mom you seem to be. I've even given myself little pep talks about how while I won't be as awesome as you with the activities and outings and all that, I can still be a good mom in my own way. Haha! For real - there is a small handful of people whose mothering I've noticed and often admire, and yours is one of them. I hope the whole thing was resolved fairly easily and you haven't let it get you down.
