every once in a while we remember how much fun it is to have friends over and then we always have to have a tea party! these are isaac's friend lincoln and kimber from preschool. kimber tells me often when i'm picking isaac up that we need to have another tea party - usually that day.

our ward boundaries were changed in november/december and our new ward was scrambling for an organist. since i was about the only one who would agree to even try, i was asked to help several weeks in a row before being called to organist. this month, the music director asked me and the primary pianist to play an organ/piano duet. it took a bit of practice, since it used the pedals and both keyboards, but it was really fun once we got it put together.
everyone it seems is posting their warm weather pictures on instagram and i'm celebrating a little dusting of snow up here. i love how beautiful everything looks covered in white!
every once in a while we remember the awesome curry recipes our friends in california taught us how to make. i only wish i was as good at making them as hafsa!!
i found this idea for x-stitching the planets in december. i loved the idea, so i found some great planet pictures from nasa, found a website that creates x-stitch patterns from any picture, bought lots of thread that i was lacking (as well as borrowing lots from mom and annie) and got to work. i got them all finished and framed and up in the boys' room. i love the way they turned out! next i think i'll make them some space bedspreads to match.
