we had all kinds of company and excited the weekend of july 17th. we were so lucky to have a bunch of our family come out to participate in cody's blessing with us.
we spent saturday at newport beach digging in the sand, jumping in the waves, and relaxing on the beach under our sun shades.
sunday we had a brunch at our house since our church doesn't start until 12:30.
ryan, both of our dads, sean, mike, the bishop, ryan's cousin, kirk, and our friend, ward, stood in the circle while ryan gave cody a great blessing.
we are so grateful for all the people who came to share the special experience with us.

i made cody's blessing outfit, through much trial and error, by altering a pattern to add smocking to the front.
i made him some little shoes to match also.
it was a fun weekend with lots of family and friends. everyone left right after church. we loved having so many people here, but it was an exhausting weekend. we came home from church and almost immediately looked like this...
