well, we made it back from arizona. the flights were uneventful (except for when my hands set off the security's explosive detector and cody and i had to be searched) and easy, as any 1 hour flight should be.
we had tons of fun seeing lots of family there. we spent a day over in tucson with ryan's family there. sean and nicole came over to hang out for a bit when we got there and got to listen to a very exhausted cody try to fall asleep. we even caught uncle ryan before he left for his night shift at the hospital.
just hangin out at aunt aubrey's
owen wasn't terribly thrilled with having a baby around, but when his twin brothers or sisters (yet to be found out) arrive in the spring he'll get used to babies quick!
aubrey, owen, cody, and i spent the morning at the tucson zoo. its a really small zoo, but has lots of great animals
like giraffes
turtles of many sizes
(kind enough to share their food)
lions, tigers, and [polar] bears
and believe it or not, jabba-the-hut
owen spent most of his time like this...
while cody spent most of his time like this...
i guess the zoo's not that cool when the animals don't move enough to attract your attention.
luckily there was a little play area where cody and owen could try out being a turtle for a few minutes.
we even ran into ryan's brother-in-law, mike, who was there with his son, logan, for a preschool fieldtrip.
after the zoo, we had lunch with ryan's mom and then hung out at the park with ryan's sister, farrah, and her kids. ethan even got to miss the afternoon of school so he could come play. it was a fun, quick little trip. so nice to see all of ryan's family while we were there (except ryan's dad, who we saw on sunday in thatcher).
