paging dr. cody

happy halloween!

i'm not usually much one for halloween and dressing up, but with a cute little boy, i just couldn't resist dressing him up just like his daddy.

i tried my hand at creating my own pattern and made him his own scrubs and surgical attire.  i must admit that it turned out super cute.

for our ward party we dressed up as head surgeon dr. cody, assistant ryan, and scrub nurse katie.

cody and i were in arizona on the actual halloween day.  we started it off by making witches brew with grandpa's choir kids.

about halfway through rehearsal, a witch burst through the door and scared the kids (and the pianist) about out of their wits.  they loved it!

doesn't grandma make a fantastic witch?

beth and ashlee made it just in time to get everything ready for halloween night.

grandma and ashlee carved the pumpkin during cody's nap.

ash chose the face the pumpkin should have.  very surprised
(if you can't tell)

ashlee couldn't bring her clown costume from wyoming, so she found a beautiful princess ensemble from grandma's dress-up barrel.  she used her wand to zap away ghosts and such.

dressed up and ready....even though aunt ah-knee said it was too early to go trick or treating

grandma even got cody a trick-or-treating bag and he held it ready the whole time.

beth, ash, cody, grandma, and i trick or treated up and down the street while ah-knee (annie for those who are not familiar with her other name) manned the candy bowl at home.  ashlee assured me before each house that she would get one for cody and she made sure he got a candy in his bag every time.

all in all it was a very fun first halloween for cody!
