ryan and i played host to the bishop family reunion this year. i guess it was decided we'd do it since ryan would be the least able to travel. we rented a cabin in big bear, california. ryan hoped to be able to come to a few days of the reunion, but with 4th of july falling in the middle of the week he was able to come longer than expected so everyone was there!
first item on the agenda of our second biennial bishop family reunion was to get some family pictures taken. we met up at central park and my friend, veronica, got to work. she got some great shots of everyone and we're so glad to have some pictures that now include the three newest members of the bishop clan (since the last reunion)
annie
julie and david with bailey and maddie
some guys were flying big remote control airplanes across the street and bailey loved to show them to maddie.
ryan and katie with cody
this little boy loves his daddy, as you can tell in the next two pictures.
the very newest bishop (well, will) family member, molly.
caitlin and ashlee are truly the very best of friends.
chris and beth with caitlin, molly, and ashlee
grandpa brucester and grandma berta
beth and annie's twin shot
and mom and my twin shot...
the girls
julie, annie, mom, katie, beth
the boys
dad, chris, david, ryan
grandma and grandpa with their six grandkids
(maybe one day cody won't be the only boy)
and the whole bishop family as of june 2012
we tried to get one shot of just the grandkids before we left....
you can see just how successful that was :)
after pictures, my parents treated everyone to a great lunch at the old spaghetti factory.
hmm....so hard to decide....
ryan and i headed up to big bear first to get checked in to the cabin. it was a very, very winding road so i was glad to be driving and ryan was glad he took some dramamine. other than beth and chris' car having to stop a few dozen times...we all made it up without much difficulty.
the cabin was just right and we got everyone situated pretty quick. we were all ready for a bit of story time and lounging (with a 'catch phrase' app on annie's phone) when we got there.
