the official beginning of the end

today was the official beginning of our 4th year of medical school.  

we have less than 11 months until graduation.  its a little hard to wrap our heads around the fact that next year at this time we could basically live anywhere in the continental united states (that's right, we're not going to hawaii or alaska or any other united states owned country).

ryan began his rotation with our next door neighbor who happens to be a family physician who went to western about 12 years ago.  we're sure it will be a great experience and we're excited for the other rotations we have to look forward to this year....except for those that mean ryan will be gone for a month or two at a time.  

we sure have loved having our daddy home for so much extra time with his vacation rotation over the last month.  cody's become quite the daddy's boy.  he loves to go in our bedroom anytime we go upstairs since dad's in there studying and he had a bit of a sad time saying goodbye when ryan left for work in the morning.  i guess we'll just enjoy the time dad's home even more now!
