today we found out where we will spend the next three years (or more). we were supposed to hear from the match program by noon, but before ryan left for work this morning he got an email from them. looks like we'll be heading to....
our final options for residencies (in no particular order) were conroe, texas; pueblo, colorado; rome, georgia; latrobe, pennsylvania; sierra vista, arizona; and altoona, pennsylvania.
we're so excited to be only about an hour away from david and julie in houston, as well as my cousin jon and his wife, amelia. my cousin, marianne, and her family are moving to north houston soon, too, so we'll have lots of family close by. my parents are pretty thrilled to just have two of their children in the same state! (which hasn't happened for about four years)
we're so excited to finally know where we're going. now to get to work on all things 'moving.'

Hooray! How nice to know where you're going now so you can plan. I don't know anything about Conroe itself, but I really like Texas. I know that in general Texas has pretty good house prices too, so that is exciting. Good luck!
