springtime visitors

we had some fun visitors over the weekend.  uncle sean and aunt nicole came out to spend a few days with us.  our plan was to go to disneyland on friday.  the forecast kept getting worse and worse with the chances of rain.  i woke up around 4 am on friday morning to a downpour!  we were worried it might not work out to go, but the weather was fine all day except for one quick shower while we were inside eating lunch.  it ended up being quite a perfect day.

we took full advantage of the short lines, fast passes, and stroller passes and rode all the big rides (especially since i'm able to now that i'm not pregnant!).  we took turns taking cody on some of his old favorites and tried out some new ones.  he loved autopia and getting to drive the cars.

we stayed long enough to catch the parade.  since i had to break every once in a while to feed isaac, i reserved us a bench on main street to watch.  cody squatted down to the ducks' level and was fascinated by them while we waited for the parade to start.

it started to get pretty cold after the parade.  you could hardly even tell ryan was keeping isaac warm.

we even caught a few new characters this time.  captain hook, cinderella's mice, a storm trooper, and mary poppins and bert riding their carousel horses. while ryan and sean rode splash mountain, nicole, cody, isaac, and i rode winnie the pooh and then ran into him and tigger as we got off.  cody had no trouble giving fives, fist bumps, and hugs now that he's getting a little more used to the larger than life characters.

we were all pretty exhausted on saturday after the long day at disneyland.  everyone got a nap in (i was laying by ryan, but woke up first).  

we took it pretty easy the rest of the weekend.  ryan and sean played some games at the park and nicole and i caught a yard sale where we got this awesome vacuum for cody.  he even knows to put it away in the closet where the big vacuum is.  

it was so fun to have sean and nicole visit.  we'll see them again before long at ryan's graduation!
