a busy long weekend

we're at the end of a bit of a busy weekend.  it was time for another of our group date nights.  this time it was hosted by the gallamore's.  

after dinner, we started off with some line dancing and the two-step.  i love dancing and wish we had more opportunities to do it!

then we did karaoke. 

its so fun to see people's personalities come out when they sing and dance.  i'm a little sad we're not having another date night until the end of january.  we have so much fun.

for one of the recent resident retreats, the residents did a kind of 'chopped' tournament.  they all got chef hats and ryan brought some home.  he and cody wore them to make our breakfast on saturday morning.  

for lunch on saturday, we went to our friend, conner's, first birthday party.

conner loves cars, so they had lots of remote control cars that the kids could play with.  cody, of course, loved that!

it was a nice afternoon, so cody and ryan spend some time mowing the lawn.  isaac loves to stand by the window and look out.  he banged on it any time they came close.  

isaac kept us quite busy the rest of the weekend, as he figured out how to open the cupboards.  we keep cody's dishes in one of the low cupboards, so we don't mind if isaac plays in it.  we just designate a couple of cupboards as 'ok to play in' and he does a pretty good job of staying out of the others.
