ah-knee came for a visit this week. cody took an extra long nap the day she flew in, so he drove down to the airport to pick her up with me. marianne and capri came up the next morning to hang out for a while. we, of course, had to have a tea party with all of our company.
marianne brought some cute blocks and stickers to make little nativities out of, so we spend some nap time sanding, painting, and stickering.
we did a little shopping one day. we stopped at cavendar's boot city on our way down to sam moon. cody loves boots and all things cowboy, so he was in heaven and we could barely drag him away. i could definitely love a pair of my own cowboy boots someday. cody is just hoping santa brings him a pair of cowboy boots for christmas.
we checked out another park that's just down the street. its a great little park that isn't too far away like many of the parks around here.
cody spent most of his time on this horse yelling 'giddy-up'
annie and i took turns pushing isaac in the swings because cody was insistent that someone was always playing with him on the playground.
isaac tried his hand at climbing up the steps on the playground too.
cody even agreed to give isaac a ride on his horse before we left.
look, i was even there!
(i'm always taking the pictures, so sometimes it seems like i wasn't even there ;)
julie brought her girls up to play and take annie down to their house. we got a good laugh out of lily's 'fireman pose' like chris used to do in college.
we went down to david and julie's on saturday to have dinner and play games with annie still there. cody is always so excited to see his cousins. any time i ask him where we should go, he says 'maddie bailey's house!' its so fun to have cousins close by.
we're so glad annie could come visit! how fun to have two families to see in the same city, too. so novel in our spread out family!
