i feel like we sometime miss pictures of our friends, but here are a few from the last few weeks:
ryan and i finally found some currents at the grocery store around thanksgiving to use in english current scones. i found them in the pantry this week and was craving some delicious scones. and since we can't have scones without a tea party, we invited our good friends over!
cody, isaac, and olivia found fancy tea party clothes for everyone while the scones cooked.
kate didn't quite keep her fancy crown on, but she sure figured out that she needed to participate!
we need to remember to have our tea parties more often!
we got a little babysitting crazy one day and had porter over in the afternoon while his parents went out. he brought some awesome puzzles that kept everyone busy for a long time. cody loves having porter come over!
later on, we had olivia and kate over while their parents went out. we did lots of playing and had dinner and then finished off the night with an episode of mickey mouse clubhouse
complete with 'hot dog dance'
kate has not liked me much in the past, but with a little food bribe she became my inseparable companion for the rest of the night. she ended up just about falling asleep while nearly falling off the couch several times.
we meet up with kimmie, olivia, and kate at some park somewhere in the city at least once a week. we're so lucky to have friends that will come hang out at a moment's notice and spend hours with us inside or out. kimmy and i have a great time chatting while the kids have a great time playing. they even included kate one day in 'duck duck goose.'
porter's mom is getting close to having a baby. we gave her a bit of a morning off and took porter with us to story time. he cried and cried when we got him, but was over it before we got out of our subdivision and had a great time with the boys. it was read across america week, so we did a dr. seuss craft.
