grandma got here just in time for easter and conference weekend. we had to get our bountiful basket on saturday morning, but we watched conference on saturday afternoon. grandma had some fun things to do while we watched like this fun arizona puzzle.
we boiled a dozen eggs to dye. the boys had fun.
i think ryan misses being able to really decorate them like we used to. at this point its mostly solid colors and trying to keep them from being dropped into the cup and breaking!
we had a few fun easter things for the boys to find on easter morning. they got some 'blegos' as cody calls them and a new book - "the book with no pictures"
julie let me borrow a bunch of their old clothes and i fell in love with this little dress, so the boys got yellow ties to match.
cody got a new necktie
and isaac a bow tie. he especially lucked out since he's been asking for a yellow tie to wear on sundays for months.
while the boys hunted for eggs, bonnie slept curled up on the couch. one whole week old!
the legos made a great conference activity.
ryan probably had more fun than the boys. he made elmer.
david and julie came up with their family for the afternoon session of conference and dinner. my mom's cousin, merianne, and her husband came up for dinner as well. it may have seemed a bit crazy to have so many people over with a one week old baby, but i have felt great. not to mention, the more people to bring things, the less you have to make yourself :)
david hid eggs outside for the kids to find.
we always love a good excuse to get family together!
