everyone was pretty flexible with activities and we ended up combining several activities on friday that we hadn't gotten to on other days.
i made a nature scavenger hunt that aubrey and i combined with their morning at the lake (or park with a little lake as we ended up using).
we teamed up adults and kids and looked for all the things on our lists. the kids found all kinds of fun stuff that they came back and showed off.
bonnie was a trooper and slept the whole time. i was so glad i grabbed this little bonnet when i was packing. she wore it several times when we were out and about.
the picnic included several treats....
sean, grandpa, and burklund wanted to fish after lunch and agreed to let owen and cody come along. cody caught a fish, but even if he hadn't - he had a fantastic time!
after lunch and naps and stuff we had some mini-olympic events for the kids. here's the pool noodle javelin :)
sean and nicole brought some little helicopters that you launched with a rubber band launcher and popper fireworks. cody and owen were about the only ones who figured out how to launch their helicopters.
cody and isaac had to take baths early, but were promised popsicles if they ate their dinner. they started sharing of their own accord :)
the twins cracked me up. one of them was in time out one afternoon and the other was at the top of the stairs saying 'buddy! are you in time out?!'
storytime with grandma is the best :)
everyone was pretty worn out by that last night. the first few nights, we stayed up late talking and hanging out. as the week went on, we all headed to bed earlier and earlier each night. it was so fun to be together for the week. i had my doubts about how the reunion would go with so many of us under one roof for a week, but i thought it went so well! we're excited for the next big reunion in 2017!!
