woodlands children's museum

with the heat on its way and lots of rain the lsat few weeks, we decided to go ahead and get passes to the woodlands children's museum.  our friends, the haymond's, have passes too so we've met up there a couple of times.  first for cinco de mayo.

they had fun folkorico dancing

cody and isaac were completely engrossed.

the kids made some fun crafts.  these bags became maracas.

and these little hanging decorations made out of cups.

they were supposed to color the outside of the cups....oops

so many fun things.  every time we leave, cody lists the things he didn't get to in playing that day.

today we went to 'a day without shoes.' they had a fun texture walk

and then each kid put a footprint on a banner

the day without shoes is sponsored by toms, so the kids got to design their own toms coloring paper.

the girls even got their toes painted.

we also painted shirts.  when we first came to this museum two years ago with marianne it was on the day without shoes so cody has been wearing the shirt he painted two years ago.  its totally worn out, so we can now swap with the new one!

they have lots of really cute dress-ups at the museum.  isaac tried on max

and a wild thing.

hopefully we'll have lots of fun days there this summer while we escape the crazy, humid heat!
