fourth of july weekend

with the fourth falling on a saturday this year, ryan got friday off of work!  we decided we better take advantage of having him around and go out to do something fun.  blackberry season is just about over, but we made it out to the p-6 farm for their last blackberry picking weekend.

these regular rockers were the perfect entertainment while we picked out some other good produce.  we got some jalapenos (for jalapeno jelly) and cantalope (i have never had cantalope taste so good in my entire life!) along with our bucket of berries.

bonnie tried out the bumbo for the first time this weekend - not too shabby.

and had several cute, patriotic outfits.  amazing how she pretty much looks like three different babies in these three pictures huh?

we got flag shirts for everyone (included david's family and my parents).  its somehow super fun now to dress up or alike with a cute baby girl to add to the mix.  she looked pretty adorable for the ward pancake breakfast....even if she did blow-out as soon as we got there.

we headed down to david's house after nap time for their annual block party.  mom and dad were in town visiting, so the kids got lots of scooter rides while we prepped for dinner.  everything was delicious as always and it was fun to meet lots of new neighbors, coworkers and friends.

isaac brought down some dress-ups and asked for help getting them on after dinner.  i know.  so lovely.

after everyone went home and we had gotten cleaned up, we pulled out some sparklers.  david usually gets a bucket of water to put the fireworks in after we light them and somehow isaac ended up sitting in it....not sure how or why.

we had a fun night of games once the kids went to bed.  we headed home sunday morning and mom and dad came up to go to church with us since they haven't ever come to our ward.  next summer david and julie will be in a new house and we could be anywhere in the country!
