june's adventures with three

we're adjusting back to life at home with three littles after all our travels.  bonnie's such a good baby that the transition to three hasn't been too terribly rough for any of us as far as i can tell.  there are a few more things that get left undone for a little longer than they did before....like sweeping the kitchen or folding the laundry or putting away the dishes.  but that's what happens when you have to start juggling eating, changing, playing, and busy-ing with three and i've just decided it's ok to not have everything done all the time :)

isaac doesn't hold bonnie quite as often around here, but he asked to hold her one morning and then carefully shared his beloved blanket with her.  what a good brother!

we've started the summer reading program at the library.  the librarian gave us book tracking forms for all three kids which reminded me how much more often we should be reading to bonnie.  poor girl mostly ends up hearing the books from the floor or missing out on them all together while she's napping.  cody has made sure we spend some time reading books just to her....which coincidentally means he gets to have more books read to him.  its also a great way to do tummy time.

she's enjoying her playmat lots more lately and has even managed to grab on to captain calamari a time or two.

this girl has her mom's long torso, so she does not fit in the sink for bathtime anymore.  she was a bit hesitant when we tried out the big bathtub, but after she realized that kicking her feet made a fun splash, she broke out into big smiles and played for a long time.

we watched toy story one afternoon, so buzz and woody have been showing up often around here.  cody knows exactly what all the buttons on buzz are for.

and sometimes bullseye even joins the play

one of ryan's co-workers gave bonnie this super cute outfit, so i sent him a picture to show her.

cody comes up with some pretty creative contraptions some days.  he had the grocery cart set up to hold his dump truck just right to dump the legos into the lego box.

some days, playing is just such hard work!

we got dad a fort kit for father's day this year.  he got right to work and built an awesome fort for the boys in the living room.  they sat in it and read books all morning with the flashlights we found to keep in it.

isaac must be missing grandma's fancy dress-up shoes.  he put these rings on like shoes and shuffled around while i made breakfast.

cody asked me if he could use my phone to take some pictures one day....

cody plays with the legos beth's family gave him for his birthday nearly every day.  he can put any of the three creations together all by himself and likes to add 'extras' with the leftover pieces.

bonnie was on her mat by the couches one day fussing.  when i moved her to where she could see cody playing, she calmed right down

and looked like this watching his every move :)

we found cora-lynne doll and had to send kelby a picture

cody is still my best helper and will hold bonnie whenever we're all sitting together i need to get up and do something.  he takes such good care of her.

i've been doing some spring cleaning in my kitchen (to reorganize before i put all my fun new pampered chef stuff away) and we found several toys under the stove, including the ever elusive 'shaky ball'

these kiddos keep me on my toes, but we sure have a lot of fun!
