knowing that we'd have a new baby, i tried to get halloween costumes started before he was born. the boys decided on ninja turtles after we saw turtle shells and ninja weapons at the dollar store. bonnie had been saying she wanted to be a kitty and although she changed her mind about a million times while we were looking through the dollar store stuff - i made her stick with it once we found the cute ears and tail. we just got her black clothes at wal-mart and i let her pick some fancy material to make a skirt to match.
i ordered fabric for the boys' costumes since its nearly impossible to find the right green in shirts and pants and worked hard to get theirs made up.
tyler is our youngest halloween baby, but we made the doctor outfit work so he could wear it for his first halloween like the other kids.
we helped out at cody's school for the fall carnival. my station was pin the nose on the scarecrow. isaac and bonnie helped get the noses off the board for the next player and once ryan came, he helped put the blindfolds on.
lucky for us, our ward did a trunk or treat on halloween at the church. our neighborhood is a bit tricky for trick-or-treating since the houses are so far apart and it is so dark.
here are our teenage mutant ninja turtles
posing with their black kitty sister
and the whole kiddie crew.
it was pretty chilly by the time we finished dinner at the church, so ryan had to run home for jackets. tyler was tucked in the ergo the whole night and was probably the warmest of us all!
we got our pumpkins carved just before the trunk or treat.
bonnie's, cody's, and isaac's
and tyler in his ninja turtle blanket. the poor kid has to put up with a bit of pink coming after a girl :)
