we've heard about a little water park down the street from us within a state park called guasti. ryan had one last half day during his rotation with our neighbor, rahmi, so we took advantage and checked it out.
they had a huge splash pad. i let cody try to wander around a bit, but he was not too happy with it. i think there were too many big kids running around intimidating him and the spraying water was pretty new to him.
once dad picked him up to walk around, he had a great time. they walked all over and got soaked. cody was even brave enough to walk around a little if dad stayed close by.
after the splash pad, we went to check out the pool. it was one of those pools that starts at zero depth and gradually gets deeper, like the beach. it was so perfect for cody. he could walk around and sit by himself, instead of just being held by mom and dad all the time like we have to do at our pool here.
we have to take swimming breaks from time to time cuz cody gets too cold and his jaw starts trembling. he thought it was the perfect time to show off his cool dude shades (and try to steal some chips from the people sitting close to us).
after our last break, cody decided he liked running into the pool over and over and over again. i'm sure beth will recognize this 'move' from our days at the reservoir near grandma bishop's
(otherwise known as the baywatch run)
