some of the fun stuff

ryan had the first two weeks that we were in texas off, so here's some of the fun we had....

a couple of dinners and hang-outs at david and julie's

cody got on the tricycle at david and julie's and took off down the driveway, so we thought we'd get him one of his own.  almost every time we walk into the garage cody climbs on and asks if he can go for a ride.

we found a nest of baby birds on our front porch.  it was fun to listen to them cheeping for a few days, but it was only a few days before they flew away.

any time i try to get a picture of isaac, cody asks to have me take a picture of him too.  a little like photo bombing...but with really nice asking first.

now that we have a normal bathtub (that isn't three feet deep), isaac and cody can take baths together.  they love it!!  cody is much more willing to do 'backwards walrus' next to isaac in the tub.

we got a little swimming pool for cody to help him keep cool on the hot summer days.  he loves to sit in it or walk around the yard dumping water from it into the garden or another pot or over his head.  i'm sure it will get lots of use this summer!

cody has developed a new love of calvin and hobbes.  he brings one of our many calvin and hobbes books to one of us at least once a day to read to him.

the library's summer reading program just started up.  the houston zoo was visiting one day which we thought would be really awesome.  turns out they just brought some animal skulls and a bearded dragon.  luckily cody thought it was super cool anyway.  

we're going to miss having ryan home, but we're glad we could do a few fun things with him in between trips to the store and unpacking boxes and getting settled in our new house!
