somehow a huge chunk of the summer has gone by and we completely forgot about our little swimming pool. ryan was nice enough to sit out and sweat for a while so the boys could take a little swim.
they had a great time playing...until cody got out right into a big fire ant pile. texas huh?
one of the other residents in ryan's year, the kersey's, live in our sub-division. we finally caught each other on a weekend where we were all in town with no work and got together for cinnamon rolls. delicious!! it was fun to officially meet them and get to know them. she's an occupational therapist, so we had lots to talk about.
i found a recipe for animal crackers one time in our family fun magazine and we thought we'd try it out this week. i, of course, had no shortage of helpers. especially when the beaters were done being used :)
it was a little tricky to get the cookies cut with so much help, but interest waned and i finished up a little quicker.
both boys love to watch things cook from their stools.
watching only lasts until the time dad comes home when climbing all over him begins.
cody and isaac love sitting on my lap while i'm working on the computer. sometimes cody will even let isaac sit on his lap on my lap.
i saw a good sale on backpacks, so we went this week to get one for cody. he loves it and wears in all the time! he'll be ready now to carry his own stuff when we head to arizona and utah in a few weeks!
