isaac is 18 months!

isaac has passed the 18 month mark.  the best part?  now he's old enough to be in nursery with cody!  i think sundays are going to become a bit more relaxing and instructive.

he was a champ at his well child check, measuring in at:

height - 34.25 in (92nd percentile)
weight - 27.8 lb (88th percentile)
head - 19.5 in (94th percentile)

he only cried for just a few minutes after his shots.  i think cody was actually more worried about the shots than isaac.  later that night he started crying after we put him to bed.  ryan brought him out to me on the couch.  he patted his legs and pointed to the essential oils we have sitting on the counter asking to have some for his sore legs.  i love how kids know they work :)

i got cody and isaac some sunglasses a couple of weeks ago.  isaac loves having his very own now, but isn't quite as into wearing them as cody was at this age.

we're not really potty training yet, but we try to catch isaac in the act and occasionally he'll go in and put the potty seat on the pottty to 'ask' to go.  i don't normally like potty pictures much, but i couldn't resist the sweetness of cody sitting in the bathroom with him to read him a book.

its not often that i get a moment like this, but i'll take them whenever i can!  isaac is still a pretty cuddly boy, but even more so when he's not feeling great.

cody isn't quite as interested in all of our day to day tasks any more, but isaac has sure picked up the slack.  if i leave the broom around anywhere, i'm sure to find isaac sweeping the kitchen before long!

isaac was such a champ during cody's swimming lessons.  we just brought him a little backpack of things to do and he entertained himself pretty well.  i wish he'd be old enough for his own lessons next year, but not until three.

isaac loves to read, but we tend to find him with books upside down more often than not.  he'll get it figured out eventually.  he loves 'i spy' books and labeling everything his knows.

i ordered a new fabric cutting mat with a birthday gift card and it came in this huge, flat box.  it became a favorite ramp for the cars for days!

its so fun to watch isaac's personality develop more and more.  he's a much better sleeper than cody has ever been and often misses lunch for falling asleep on the way home from the gym.  he does, however, tend to throw a pretty good tantrum now and then.  hopefully that's a short phase!

isaac is a great imitator in actions and words.  he is saying lots of new words all the time.  he's especially good at animal sounds :)
