i've been doing lots of work on this buddy here. isaac is getting quite ready to move into his 'big boy bed' so he needs a quilt to match cody's. i got the blocks all put together when we were in arizona in september and started the assembly when we got back.
we found some bunk beds with a trundle bed on craigslist a few months ago for a great deal and they spend some time just sitting in our office in pieces. after coming back from arizona, we decided we'd set the beds up and give the boys a chance to try them out.
we set up the bunk beds in october after getting a few hardware pieces to replace lost and broken ones. isaac was quite excited to sit in his big boy bed and climb in and out. cody loves climbing up the ladder into his top bunk.
it took a few days of trying out the big bed and getting put back on the crib (after too much playing around) before he finally fell asleep in the bed on his own. and then it was only a few more days that we even needed the crib as a 'threat' before he was awesome at sleeping in the big bed!
such a wonderful sight to see two boys sleeping peacefully :)
i finished the quilt this week and finally got it put on the bed. i love the way it turned out!
