messiah weekend

i was so excited to be able to go down to thatcher and sing in messiah this year.  definitely a benefit of living close to thatcher.  the last time i sang was before isaac was born and he's almost 4!  we all headed down to thatcher after school/work on friday.  great grandma is visiting at my parents so we got to spend some time with her.

grandma berta sent a fancy invitation in the mail for a tea party at her house, so the kids were busy picking their outfits.  bonnie loved the fairy costume and wings.  cody was a pirate and isaac wore the vampire cape.

ryan, grandpa, and i missed the tea party because we went to the temple, but annie sent us this great picture.

sunday morning we had muffins.  bonnie became quite the professional muffin cupper.

great grandma shared one of her beautiful necklaces with bonnie before church and she refused to let anyone take it off.  this is the best picture i could get of it on her.  she thought it was just wonderful.

after church we snapped a picture of four generations of girls.

and of bonnie lucile with her beautiful great grandma lucile.

grandma and grandpa got a hammock hooked up in the back yard.  it was a favorite hangout for the boys.

annie came to thatcher to do messiah, too.  we went to rehearsal together on saturday afternoon and then to the performance on sunday night.  its always more fun to do things with a friend.  here's about as close as we get to twinning with our matching shirts and hair.

since the messiah performance was late sunday, we got up early this morning to drive back home.  we made it just in time for ryan and cody to get changed and off to work and school.
