the tucson temple was recently finished and they've been having the open house for the last few weeks. we tried going down one other time that didn't work out and finally made it down to see it with the kids. we left friday after ryan got off work and got smoothies on the way. ryan's dad met us there since he was in tucson for work.
the kids loved walking through the temple and loved the warmth they felt there.
it is a beautiful building
we drove down to sean and nicole's new house after the temple and ate pizza before jim headed home. we spent a couple days there so we could be part of aiden's blessing on sunday.
we love trying to get pictures of bonnie and atlas to compare their size like we did when they were babies (bonnie was huge and atlas was tiny). not so different now!
we did a little swimming. a little girls-tripping to the store and baskin robbins. a little harry potter playing.
everyone loved aiden and held him often.
bonnie was so careful to make sure he always had his pacifier...and a blanket...and a toy.
is there anything better than a tiny baby all snuggled up and sleeping so comfy?
just another crazy hair example.
after the blessing we headed over to thatcher for a few days. ryan had to work, so he dropped us off for a few days and headed home.
bonnie's favorite thing this trip was to pop all the letters out of this puzzle and then get someone else to put them all back in.
the weather was perfect for playing at the splash pad and going to the lake. we did lots of pecan shelling while the kids played.
i had completely forgotten about the fudgsicles we used to have when i was little. grandma had some in her freezer. bonnie was the only one who really liked them and she really liked them.
we stayed until my birthday and i started off the morning with a temple session with my dad. not much else to do when your kids wake up too early!!
there was plenty of dress up and puzzle doing.
grandma invited us all to high tea for my birthday before we had to head home.
we all wore our fanciest clothes.
it was a wonderfully delightful spread.
complete with mini key lime pies for my birthday cake.
grandma sure knows how to put together high tea!
we met ryan in globe so we could head back home. it was a bit of a crazy birthday, but very fun.
