landmarks

yesterday was a day of landmarks

cody woke up with a smile that showed a new tooth finally poking through.  he's been working to get that tooth out for a good month!  now he's got his two bottom ones, but we don't see signs of any others just yet.

ryan says he's seen it lots of times, but yesterday was also the first time i've seen cody stand alone for several seconds.  i think he secretly practices in his crib before and after nap time.

last night was also a landmark in that cody slept the whole night without waking up once.  he's slept through the whole night here and there, but not consistently.  he often would wake up one time, nurse, and go right back to sleep.  with teething and being sick, we let it slide, but we decided it was high time he made it through the night without a snack.  we had a couple of nights of extra tears, but last night he was a champ.  hopefully this becomes a common trend!
