a few dates

we continue to have people volunteer to watch cody for us, so we've continued to take advantage of some date days/nights.

ryan had a day off at the end of his didactic week, so we went over to the los angeles temple.  we've wanted to visit each temple in the area, but didn't make it to los angeles before cody was born.  we're so grateful to lisbeth for watching him while we went to do a session there.
you can kind of see my new haircut (that i love) and the skirt that i altered....just added the brown at the bottom to make it a little longer.

the next day was the luau our young men and young women put on to raise money for scout/girls camp.  ryan had to be there early and late to help, so i went with another of the young men's presidency's wife as a date.
(pictures to come)

the walnut high school polynesian club came and performed danced from all different polynesian islands for us.  they did a great job!
those two little kids are in our ward and their aunt teaches the club.

they got all the men up near the end to teach them one of the dances.  it was pretty funny to watch.  too bad ryan was conveniently 'busy' and missed it.

throughout the night we could bid on desserts that had been donated by people in the ward.  bid as we might, ryan and i didn't win a thing!
can you guess which we made?

our most recent date was over the weekend when we went to see 'the hunger games' with our friends lucas and monica (who happened to be my date to the luau too....yes, its getting serious).  monica and i have been planning this date since about november, so it was fun to finally be able to go see it.  i loved it!

after the movie we went to fuddrucker's for dinner.  it was so fun to go on a double date with some of our good friends and not have to worry about kids for a while.

I thought that looked like your peanut butter/chocolate cake when I looked at the picture.

Wasn't the Hunger Games amazing!?! Sounds like we've had a pretty similar life... YW fundraisers, trips to the temple, and Hunger Games. So fun!
