isaac at a third of a year

isaac has hit the big four month mark!  we can't hardly believe he's been around for that long, but can't really remember our lives before he joined our family.  he is such a content, happy, easy-going baby.  we couldn't imagine having an easier baby than cody, but we're pretty sure isaac is.  he takes three good naps during the day (in a pack-n-play since cody still sleeps in the crib for now) and sleeps all night.  like 12-13 hours a lot of the time.  its pretty fantastic.

we fit in his four month well-check before our move, so here are the stats:

head - 17 in (75th percentile)

length - 26 in (90th percentile)

weight - 16 lbs. 3 oz. (75th percentile)

he definitely isn't off the charts like cody was, but he's staying long and lean.

as all babies, he was lovin' the noisy paper at the doctor's office.

and here are some shots of the past couple of months in zak-ik's world.

we did the first hair cut thing.  he was starting to get the little baby mullet in the back.  as long as we were cutting ryan and cody's hair, we figured it was time to trim isaac's up in the back.  he has so much more hair than cody did.  i hope he doesn't start rubbing it all off!

wearing his matchy-matchy shoes with his monkey.

he's starting to get a pretty good grip on captain calimari (the octopus toy).  he hasn't developed the deep love and excitement to see the captain that cody had, but he has fun playing on the mat.

when we were in houston looking for a place to live.  i came downstairs at landon and marianne's one time to find isaac curled up on his side, sucking his thumb, fast asleep.  cutest thing ever.

also while we were there, i came back from the kitchen to find isaac on his belly after having left him on his back.  first roll over!!  he did it a couple more times that day, but hasn't rolled a whole lot more yet.

we've tried the bumbo a couple of times....
not so much...

we pulled out the stroller the other day for the first double kids ride with isaac in the back.  both kids seemed to like the set up.  we love this stroller.

as he's gotten better at the bumbo, isaac will sit up with us for meals.  if we forget, cody is quick to remind us.

isaac sat up for his first ride at disneyland on his own bum.  at disneyland, they make you strap the kid on when you ride the carousel (not around both of you).  one time i had to fit the strap through the carrier as i held him, but we opted for letting him try it himself.  great rider, of course.

we took isaac for his first swim a few days ago.  he was happy as could be just laying out for a bit (in the shade).  he didn't think the water was all bad either.  hopefully we have a good place to do some swimming after we move!

we are so blessed to have this little boy in our family.  he is so happy.  cody is great with him and isaac just adores cody.  i can't wait until they are (hopefully) best buddies and partners in (hopefully not too much) crime!
