every month we end up with a few pictures that just have no rhyme or reason in terms of a whole blog post. i know we'll have lots for christmas and after, so here's our random pictures from at least the first half of december.
isaac loves the popper. one day i heard it popping and turned around to see isaac standing up and moving it back and forth. he was thrilled that he got it to work.
one of our favorite after-nap snacks is 'grahams.' isaac likes to have one for each hand and is a champ at eating them with relatively little mess - definite plus for mom.
our friend, cachet, watches the boys while i work two mornings a week at a charter school nearby. she thought she was going to have to pick up one of her kids one day, so she loaded cody and isaac up only to find out it was a false alarm. she felt bad just turning around to go home so she took them to the park.
as always, cody loves the swings, among other things now.
and isaac was tolerant of the swings. he just has never liked them the way cody did when he was little.
we found a santa costume some friends gave us with lots of hand-me-downs for cody. he insisted on putting it right on and wore it the rest of the day.
we watched julie-anna and levi for some friends one day. levi and isaac were so fun to watch sit and play by each other all throughout the day.
cody has this thing about the pancake griddle. any time we make pancakes, he insists that he needs his worker hat and goggles since its hot. safety first huh?
i played in a couple of musical numbers the sunday before christmas in our ward. we had mauri and the sister missionaries come over to practice one afternoon. isaac was enthralled by mauri's oboe. she even let him push the buttons!
we drove down to the woodlands mall one afternoon to run a couple of errands. i figured as long as we drove that whole way, we could at least stay a while and play. isaac is getting so good at standing up by things. he even climbed on some of the littler things while cody ran circles around the whole place.
i happened to look down from the upper level as we were leaving and spotted a special friend. we didn't have any other plans to see santa, so i figured we might as well stop and say hi. cody couldn't wait to tell santa that he wants cowboy boots for christmas (a true texan at heart).
