the boys in november

it seems like every month or so there are a bunch of pictures i want to make sure i remember that don't fit into any other post.  so here's a hodge-podge of november's happenings.

one of the grocery stores we go to has these little carts that we usually forget about until we're leaving.  one day i miraculously remember them and got one for cody.  he loved getting the things from our list off the shelf and putting them in the cart.  i had my own empty cart to push isaac in and cody handled the rest.  we passed lots of people who commented about how well-behaved he was and what a good helper!

cody opted to play outside while i got lunch ready for several days after he found the rake in the garage.  he loves to 'water the garden' while he's out there.  one day i caught him 'watering' with an interesting new hat.

we have one electronic book that sings songs and says poems.  cody stood up one sunday afternoon and led us in a few songs from it.

isaac participated in his first tea party (without sitting on someone's lap and actually eating some food) on the 12th.  he just stood at the side of the table and ate fishies off a plate very happily.

we pulled out some new-to-cody shoes that are just like grandpa bishop's.  we took a picture to send him.  this is what often happens when i tell cody to say 'cheese.'

we had several chilly days and pulled out our mittens and hats for the boys.  they loved wearing them just around the house.  even isaac kept his mittens on and crawled all over.

we baked some 'snackerdoodles' (snickerdoodles) one afternoon and decided to take some to cachet (who babysits the boys when i work).  cody found this stick along the way and insists on taking it on every walk we go on.

isaac had his first attempt with a fork on the 14th.  not bad for nearly 10 months huh?

we took advantage of the colder weather and pulled out some of our sweaters for church one sunday.  i just love my boys and their bow ties.  cody insists on only bow ties and won't even give a neck tie a second look!

one afternoon while i was folding laundry in our bedroom, so came and told me he needed the 'sweeper.'  i thought he'd just spilled something, but it turned out he just wanted to sweep the kitchen...which he did, including moving the rug and stool out onto the carpet.  he's getting to be such a good helper!

isaac likes to sit up in his chair while i get dinner ready some nights.  he always love when he gets a little pre-dinner snack....like a mango pit.

matchy clothes

just a funny cody moment to wrap it up....

Cody woke up crying in the night one night. When I went to see what was wrong, he told me he'd hurt his chinny chin chin.
