arrrgh!

i found a job in the fall working a couple of mornings a week at a charter school in willis.  i actually just contract with lauren riggs who owns her own business and contracts with several schools...complicated, i know.  i really enjoy the work and super flexible hours (and a little bit of time out of the house without the boys).

lauren just opened up her own clinic and we stopped by the grand opening celebration this afternoon.  she had great snacks and face painting, so the boys automatically loved it.  

cody got his face painted and opted for a pirate.  he sang 'yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me' the rest of the day and we worked on his 'arrgh'

i didn't really think isaac would care too much about not having his face painted (he didn't) but would have fun just cruising and playing (he did).  if only all kids were so easy going!

i was a little worried that the black and red face paint was going to be a mess to clean off (especially after cody tried using a white towel that he'd gotten wet in the sink).  i used a wipe first and got a lot off.  then i thought i'd give my essential oils a try.  just a couple of drops of lemon on a tissue took off every last bit!  you'd have never guessed that he'd been a pirate!
